Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design

Now established at its new home in downtown Sydney, the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design displays some of the finest work of local artisans. The spacious facility, made possible through assistance from Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation, includes a gallery, studios, classrooms, library and office space, as well as an enhanced exhibition space where island craft producers will be able to display and sell their wares. The Center also promotes excellence through education and training, serving the entire craft community from beginners to accomplished professionals.

Weve been working with ECBC for many years; as well as investing in our new facility, ECBCs support has been instrumental in the development of the Cape Breton Island craft industry.

Through export training, market research, trade show and trade mission participation, website development, product development and implementing marketing activities in partnership with our tourism sector, ECBC has supported the growth of this very important local industry.

- Carol Beaton, Executive Director, Cape
Breton Centre for Craft and Design
